Clinical Trials

Advancing the Future of Rheumatology

At Legacy Rheumatology, we are committed to advancing the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases through participation in innovative clinical research. Our clinical trials program provides eligible patients with access to promising investigational therapies while contributing to the future of rheumatologic care.

Current Areas of Investigation

Our research program includes studies evaluating novel therapies for autoimmune diseases. This emerging cellular therapy is designed to help regulate the immune system and represents a new area of investigation that is conceptually related to other advanced immune-cell therapies, such as CAR T-cell therapy, while using a different therapeutic approach.

We are actively conducting or enrolling patients in clinical trials for conditions including:

  • Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)

  • Systemic Sclerosis (Scleroderma)

  • Rheumatoid Arthritis

  • Sjögren’s Disease

  • Additional autoimmune and inflammatory rheumatic diseases as studies become available

Why Participate?

Participation in a clinical trial may provide eligible patients with:

  • Access to innovative investigational therapies before they are widely available.

  • Close monitoring by an experienced rheumatology and research team.

  • The opportunity to contribute to the development of future treatments for autoimmune diseases.

Please note that investigational therapies are being studied for safety and effectiveness and have not yet been established as standard treatments for these conditions.

Interested in Learning More?

If you have been diagnosed with lupus, scleroderma, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjögren’s disease, or another autoimmune rheumatic condition and would like to learn whether you may qualify for a clinical trial, we encourage you to contact our office.

Our research team will be happy to answer your questions, discuss currently available studies, and determine whether participation may be appropriate for you.
